Available Safety Features in the 2022 Toyota Avalon

Toyota’s incredible safety technology, known as Toyota Safety SenseTM 2.5+ (TSS 2.5+), is a fantastic safety technology created by Toyota. It includes the following advanced safety features:

Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)

This system, designed for highway use, allows you to drive at a predetermined speed. It is designed to operate between 0 and 110 mph and employs vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.

Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection

It is designed to detect a vehicle or a pedestrian in certain situations. Also, it can provide an audio/visual alert to warn the driver of a potential collision using a camera and radar. If the driver does not react, the system applies the brakes automatically.

Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist (SA)

At speeds greater than 32 mph, it identifies visible white/yellow lane markings or the road’s edge. It also generates an audio/visual alert if an unintentional lane departure is detected. When the driver fails to take quick action, the Steering Assist function provides gentle corrective steering.

Road Sign Assist

Using an intelligent camera, this system detects speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, and yield signs and displays them on the Multi-Information Display.

Automatic High Beams

It is intended to help you see better at night at speeds greater than 25 mph. This system detects approaching vehicles’ headlights and preceding vehicles’ taillights and automatically switches between high and low beams.

Lane-Tracing Assist

The Lane Tracing Assist system helps the car stay centered in its lane by utilizing the lines on the road or preceding vehicles.
